The design of the artwork is made up of connecting shapes, patterns and linework. Each of the four doors are meant to feel connected as a whole but at the same time, be individually unique with their own point of interest. The shapes are organic and handpainted as opposed to rigid and geometric. My idea was to capture the energy and colorful design from graffiti and street art and convey it in a modern and sophisticated manner – even with materials and execution employed with graffiti art techniques.

The work is designed to feel lighthearted, fun and colorful. The goal is to encourage community members to engage with the work in their own personal ways.
