The title for this project, Timing Is Everything, refers to as well as questions the necessity of labor. Les Ramsay works with a studio-based practice that includes collection and assemblage using domestic craft, textiles, and traditional painting mediums, which often form large formal abstractions.

His practice considers the materiality of the everyday and tropes within art history. Inspired by dimensional shifts within Cubism and Dada’s absurdist plays, Les’ work merges popular culture and handmade domestic kitsch to generate layered formal outcomes.
